Akwaowo Imoh Inyangudoh, a master’s student and research assistant at the International Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Research (ICEESR), University of Uyo, received the 2019 International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) travel grant to enable his participation in the just concluded General Assembly and World Chemistry Congress (WCC) as well as the IUPAC centenary celebration in Paris, France.

The conference provides an opportunity for delegates to communicate their science, learn, network and get involved in the IUPAC activities. IUPAC is the umbrella organization for chemistry professionals globally. The next biennial event will be held in August 2021 in Montreal, 2023 in the Netherlands and in 2025 in Malaysia.
