The International Center for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Research congratulates the Vice-Chancellor of our host institution, the University of Uyo, Professor Christopher N. Ekong, on the completion of his first 100 days in office.
In these early days of the administration, the University has witnessed notable attention to academic excellence, research and innovation, staff and student development, infrastructure renewal, digital transformation, institutional governance and strategic partnerships.
From strengthening academic and administrative processes to advancing research funding, expanding practical innovation opportunities through UNIPOD, supporting international academic exposure, improving campus infrastructure and taking steps toward enhanced security and healthcare facilities, the administration has set several initiatives in motion.
As a research and sustainability-focused Centre within the University community, ICEESR particularly recognises the emphasis on research, innovation, capacity development and partnerships, critical drivers of a globally competitive university.
We celebrate this important milestone and commend the administration for the progress recorded within its first 100 days.
May the coming years bring even greater achievements, stronger research impact, sustainable development and continued transformation for the University of Uyo.
