Akwaowo Imoh Inyangudoh, a graduate research assistant at the International Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Research (ICEESR), University of Uyo, has received the American Chemical Society (ACS) Professional Meeting Grant and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Award which enabled him to participate in the 14th edition of the IUPAC Green Chemistry Summer School Programme at Camplus Santa Marta, Ca’Foscari University of Venice in Italy from July 3-8, 2022. The week long programme provided an opportunity for delegates to learn about key topics in green chemistry from Chemists around the world, new research directions towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the summer programme also allow participants to communicate their science, network and get involved with other scientific activities. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is the umbrella organization for chemistry professionals globally.
